Fix my vibe-coded app
Your app works. You're not sure it's safe, or it's started to fall over and nobody can say why. That's the usual story with an app built using AI tools: it gets you to "it works" quickly and says very little about what comes after.
We start with a written audit, fixed and agreed before we begin. A simple app costs £700. A larger one, with a CMS, a backend and a frontend, costs up to £1,400. We tell you which before we start. It tells you what's critical, what can wait, and whether the answer is to fix the app you have or start again. If you want us to do the fix, we quote it as a fixed price from the report.
What it costs
| Audit, simple app | £700, fixed, agreed before we start |
| Audit, larger app (for example a CMS, a backend and a frontend) | Up to £1,400, fixed, agreed before we start |
| Fix | Quoted as a fixed price from the audit |
| Rebuild | Quoted as a fixed price, in the Small, Medium or Large band that fits (£3,500 to £7,000, £8,000 to £21,000, £22,000 to £45,500, all indicative) |
The audit prices are on our Pricing page with everything else.
Who this is for
Founders and owner-managers who built something with an AI tool such as Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor or v0, and now have customers, or are about to. Also heads of IT who've inherited one.
Who it isn't for
If you haven't built anything yet, you want an app feasibility assessment first. If you need a penetration test or a certificate for a compliance standard, we'll point you to someone who does that. And if you want to hear "it's fine" without us looking, that's not an audit.
What we look at
We check whether your app can be run, handed over and relied on. We start with the foundations, then the parts that decide whether it has a future.
- Could someone else pick it up? We try to run it from the code and the readme, as a new developer would.
- Can you get the code out, or are you renting it? We ask, and tell you the answer.
- Is anything tested? We start with the journeys that must never break: signing in, paying, the main thing the app is for.
- How does a release happen? One person pressing a button and hoping, or something that checks first?
- Logins, data and keys. We look at how people log in, whether customers' data is kept apart, and where keys are stored. We look for obvious gaps and tell you if we see any.
- The product. A product manager's read of it: what we like, what we don't, and what we'd recommend, including whether the next step makes commercial sense.
This is not a security test. We're not penetration testers or security specialists.
We explain more of this in how to audit a vibe-coded app.
What you get back
A full technical report in plain English, with a product review and recommendations. Every area is graded red, amber or green, and each problem is explained in terms of what it means for your business, not a code reference. It says what's critical and what can wait, rather than handing you forty unranked findings. And it gives you a straight answer on fix or rebuild, with the reason. We then run through the report with you on a call.
How it works
- Tell us about the app. A free discovery call. What it does, what tool built it, what's worrying you.
- We agree the audit. We look at how big the app is, tell you the price and agree it before we begin.
- You give us access. Read-only access to your code and hosting settings, a read-only look at how your database is set up, and a walkthrough of the app on a test account. We don't need your secret keys or your customers' passwords. If your code lives only inside an app builder, we'll ask you to export it first. It also helps to tell us what you know about your users and how the app is used.
- We audit it and send the written report. We aim to do that within 5 working days of getting everything we need.
- We talk it through. A call to run through the report with you.
- You decide. Fix it with us, take the report elsewhere, or leave it.
- If you want us to fix it, we quote a fixed price from the report. No open-ended hours.
Questions people ask
How much does it cost to fix a vibe-coded app?
The audit comes first. A simple app costs £700. A larger one, with a CMS, a backend and a frontend, costs up to £1,400. We tell you which before we start. The fix is quoted as a fixed price once the report says what is wrong. We won't guess a figure before we have seen the code.
Do I have to hire you to do the fix?
No. The report is yours and works whether or not you hire us. You can hand it to another developer, fix it yourself or leave things as they are.
What if my app turns out to be fine?
We'll say so. Some are. You still get the report, so you know what you checked and what you didn't.
Is the audit a security test?
No. We don't try to break in and we don't probe your live app, and we can't promise it's secure or that we've found everything. We read the code and settings with an eye on the basics, and if we spot an obvious security gap it goes in the report, graded. We're not penetration testers or security specialists. If your app holds sensitive data or takes payments itself, get a specialist security test as well.
Can you fix an app that was built on a tool I can't get the code out of?
It depends on the tool, and we'll tell you in the audit. If the code can't be exported, the honest answer is often a rebuild rather than a fix, and we'll say why.
How long does it take?
We aim to send the report within 5 working days of getting full access to your app. A larger app can take longer, and we'll say so when we agree the price.
