This explains what happens to the details you send us through this website, in plain English.
Who we are
The site is run by Uptick Studio Ltd, a company registered at Companies House under company number 17303397. It decides how your details are used (the "controller" in data protection law). You can reach us at hello@uptickstudio.co.uk.
What the contact form collects
When you send us a message through the contact form we collect:
- your name
- your company name, if you choose to give it
- your message, so what you tell us about what you are working on
- your email address or phone number, whichever you enter so we can reply
Netlify, which handles the form for us, also records some technical details with each message: your IP address, the page you came from, and details of your browser. These are stored with your message.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to read your message, reply to you and, if you want to go ahead, discuss a project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries people send us, and taking steps you ask for before any contract.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are held by Netlify, which hosts this website and processes the form for us. A notification of each message is emailed to hello@uptickstudio.co.uk, a mailbox hosted by Google Workspace, so Google handles that email for us. We do not sell your details.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after we last spoke to you, then delete them from our systems.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. To do any of this, email hello@uptickstudio.co.uk and we will reply. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses a Google tag, supplied through Google Ads, to measure how our adverts perform. It can set cookies in your browser and send information about your visit to Google. We are adding a choice so that this only happens if you accept. To remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser settings.
